Under this agreement, Global Maritime will provide MWS services to support the transportation and installation phases of the Gato do Mato – Orca development, located approximately 200 km offshore south of Rio de Janeiro in the Santos Basin.

The FPSO Gato do Mato is a new-build floating production unit designed for deepwater operations at approximately 2,000 meters water depth, with a production capacity of up to 120,000 barrels of oil per day. The facility will be spread-moored and is designed for a long-term operational life of up to 25 years.

As part of the scope, Global Maritime will review and approve key marine operations, including load-out, transportation, offshore mooring installation and FPSO hook-up activities for both hull and topsides in Brazil and across multiple countries in APAC. All activities will be carried out in compliance with project specifications, international standards, and industry best practices.

This award reinforces Global Maritime’s strong track record in delivering independent marine warranty services for complex offshore developments and further strengthens its collaboration with MODEC on major FPSO projects worldwide.
