The 532MW Anma Offshore Wind Project, to be situated in Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do, is expected to be one of South Korea’s first utility-scale offshore wind farms, generating over 1,400GWh of clean electricity every year. The wind farm will contribute meaningfully to South Korea’s ambitious sustainability goals, and to the international community’s target of carbon neutrality by 2050. Construction is due to commence 2025 Q2, with a target completion date of 2029 Q1.

GM’s scope of work includes the review and approval of all design and engineering documents relating to all offshore activities of the T&I of the offshore wind farm components (wind turbine generators, foundations, offshore export cables, array cables, and offshore substation packages), and suitability surveys of the proposed vessels to be used during the loadout, T&I operations, and on-site surveillance and attendances.

GM’s South Korean entity, Global Maritime South Korea Pte. Ltd., has been awarded the mandate and will manage the contract through our Busan office, enabling locally based project delivery, drawing on support from GM’s multi-disciplinary MWS teams across the wider APAC region and Europe. Global Maritime South Korea Pte. Ltd. was previously awarded the Vessel Inspection Services contract for Anma Offshore Wind Project in 2023.
