GMFCS was awarded the marine warranty surveying scope of this challenging and high-profile project by TotalEnergies E&P Angola, as part of their ongoing contract for the provision of MWS services for a series of brownfield projects.

The project was successfully completed with zero recorded incidents across a six-month timeframe, from inception to re-installation of umbilical after the repair onboard the Ocean Installer Vessel Norm and Vision.

The primary challenges faced during the project included working in close proximity to the FPSO, within a congested brownfield facility, whilst recovering, repairing and re-installing the dynamic umbilical.

This MWS scope was a first of its kind, where an Angola based company with Angolan nationals played a key role in delivery of the project. The project delivered an entire in-country scope utilising Angolan national resources from FCS, collaborating with global MWS provider, Global Maritime.

The GMFCS consortium has established itself as a leading provider of MWS services where quality, competence, and training, combined with local content compliance, are key success factors.
